Last year, the Tungnath Temple opening date was 20th May. This year, the expected opening date of Tungnath Temple is 5th May. However, the official opening date for the year 2021 is yet to be announced.
The best time to visit Chopta Tungnath Trek in 2021 is from the month of April to September. But if you want to have a darshan of Tungnath Temple, then plan it for the month of May onwards. Avoid trekking during the monsoon season to avoid awful situations like landslides and rainy weather.
